Default Ordered a 2014 C4S...settling in for a long wait!

I am excited to share that I ordered a 2014 911 C4S a few weeks ago. However, I found out that I am going to be waiting awhile for it to reach the dealer. Porsche is estimating delivery near the end of November!

Configuration:
Anthracite Brown Metallic
Black/Luxor Beige Interior with deviated carpet to black
20" Classic Wheels
Spacers
Exterior Paint Package
Front/Rear Park Assist
Electric Folding Mirrors
Bi-Xenon Headlights in Black w/ PDLS
Premium Package Plus
BOSE
Power Steering Plus
PDCC w/ SPASM
Sport Chrono
Sport Exhaust
PDK
18 Way Active Seats
Adaptive Cruise
Storage Compartment Lid w/ Logo Type
Multi-function Steering Wheel
Gear Selector in Aluminum
Illuminated Stainless Door Sills

So my plan is to be cryogenically frozen until a week before delivery, as the wait on my 2012 Cayenne Turbo was hard and only half as long!

They may have a spot in the dry-ice freezer in Nederland, CO next to the guy that's been there for years! I hear he is waiting for the 100th anniversary 911.

I'm loving my C4S, yours will be worth the wait!

Who knows? When I placed the order, I was told late August. It seems really long to me as well. I wonder if I should find another dealer with an earlier build slot. I am using my local dealer, whom I have ordered from before.

That's an awesome build, but a killer wait. I ordered my C2S coupe at the end of April and delivery is scheduled for the end of June, and the wait is killing me already. Maybe try to find another dealer with an earlier build allocation?

That is crazy man... I ordered mine 3 week ago, and it will be here (Spain) in June I was told. November seems very odd...

I'm told that the illuminated door sills cannot be made until September, when the plastic base below them gets redesigned. I can't imagine their holding your entire build until September for that one reason, without telling you, but you might inquire whether the holdup is your build spec or your dealer's next build slot.

Good point on the "dealer's next build slot!"

You were exactly right! My build was on hold until that option could be satisfied! Fortunately, my dealer found the reason and asked if I really wanted to wait for that option. Of course, the answer was no and my build was bumped up.

Since then, I added the smoking package and the X51 power kit! I am now expecting my 911 to arrive at the end of September or beginning of October.
