Agree, it is truly stunning! A friend has a Manthay rebuildt 2007 GT3 now 4,1 liter with ALL the race, parts. He tested mine and liked it a lot suspention, brakes and PDK, all of it.

People should try to drive the 991 REALLY hard, it is incredible at the limit.

Steering is heavy criticized, really just not fair, works SO good.

When you loose the car it is SO easy to save.

Thanks for all kind words :-)

It was incredible, special event called Gran Turismo Events. Second day and people got tired, then I started :-)

Weekdays can be like this also sometimes.

Felt awesome and very liberating those two fast laps, and we could go full speed at the straight, fantastic :-)

You can go two persons and share one car, half price. Still expensive.

That's what I was thinking.... How much more push could an "s" have done. Great video

Difficult to answer. Porsche says that the PDCC will save 4 seconds, and that can only be had at the S. My friend has an S with PDCC but without sports suspension, and that car is way too soft and NOT faster at the Ring.

My sport suspension without PDCC feels fantastic and go cart like, but I believe Porsche if they say PDCC is 4 seconds faster, but many say not as fun.

Re. the missing 50 horsepower, I would guess around 6 seconds, but don`t really know if it is true. Could be 4, could be 8.

Anyone having a clue?

Dag :-)
During the recent PWRS one of the instructors said PDCC does make a seven or eight degrees difference in body roll at the limit. Based on your experience, if what he said is true, how much more time can PDCC gain?

I would be very surprised if it was inhibiting body roll by 7-8 degrees, especially if compared to a 991 S with SPASM which is already a fairly firm passive setup. That's huge. Probably about 2-3º at the most but only Porsche would be able to quantify this for sure.

The 991 S with PDK did a 7:37 around the Nordschliefe and I believe I read somewhere they said PDCC was responsible for 7 seconds or so over non-PDCC if I remember correctly, so you're at best talking a 1.5% improvement. Very incremental. But then again, lots of small, incremental improvements are how you making something a lot faster.

The instructor could be comparing a 991 S without SPASM, to one with SPASM AND PDCC. After all, they were in the business to promote PDCC.

Wow! Great video... and from a beautiful day, too !

The Nurburging complex really is a wonder of the modern world. The whole thing should be declared a World Heritage site. It is simply a beautiful wonder in the woods. The "Green Monster"? More like the "Green Gift from God".

Thanks for posting that.
