Default Base C2 decision

So I'm looking at getting a base C2 as a DD here in CT. I've got a truck for the snow so no need for awd. I have two cars I can choose from, wondering if you guys could give me an opinion on the options. They are stripped cars.

First one:

693 - 6 disc CD/DVD changer
690 - SiriusXM(R) & HD Radio(R) rcvr
680 - BOSEŠ Surround Sound-System
651 - Electric sunroof
475 - PASM
ZAB - Ornamental Porsche Crest
427 - 20-inch Carrera Classic wheel
342 - Seat heating (front)
XSX - Seat belts in Guards Red
P37 - BOSEŠ Audio Package
446 - Wheel caps color Porsche crest

Second one:

276 - Automatically dimming mirrors
342 - Heated Front Seats
423 - 20-inch Carrera S wheel
446 - Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
603 - Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
651 - Electric sunroof
680 - Bose Surround Sound System
690 - Porsche Online Pro CD Radio
693 - 6-disc CD/DVD changer
840 - SportDesign steering wheel
AG - Black standard interior
P06 - Power Sport Seats (14-way)
P37 - BOSE
P3D - Premium Package
X70 - Door sill guards in stainless steel
ZAB - Ornamental Porsche Crest

2nd one is about 2k more, lease wise not much difference.

First one is Guards red, second one is agate grey.

I'm just outside Hartford. My wife doesn't like my kids riding in the back of my 993 so I'm debating getting a 991 so I can have two toddler seats in the back with tethers.

I'm trying to stick in the 95k range, if I could buy my own that wouldn't be an issue, but finding on a lot is tricky. Kills me to get 20 inch wheels and sunroof when I have no need.

I bought a base 2013 mt 991 with three little options, power steering color crests, and sport wheel. total 750.00. It is the best move. You get nothing really for options on resale and the car is great as is. The full leather is a waste. The factory pleather is fine and holds up better IMO. For 86000 I think it is a steal for the money.

Took delivery of my C2 last month and am happy with the base stereo. Dealer threw in the wheel crests for free and I like them more than I thought I would. Wasn't going to pay $185 for them but now glad I got them. Haven't used the sunroof yet but I couldn't imagine the car without it. Glass looks nice with darker colored cars, not so much on lighter ones. Like the 19" wheels too. Ordered the car so didn't have to settle for what's on the lot. The waiting was hell but worht it in the long run to get exactly what I wanted. Kept the price under $100k out the door. Love the PDK also! Haven't used the heated seats yet but I can't really tell any difference with the ventilation on. Got the Premium Plus package with the 14 ways seats. Better than without IMHO. Interior lighting that comes with the Premium package is very nice.

#1 has PASM which is 10 mm lower than #2 and PASM has 2 adjustable shock modes comfort and sport

#2 has the electric 14 way seats with the memory package and #1 has the manual seats. The memory package is useful if two different drivers use the car and also has the passenger mirror tilt down feature to see the curb.

#2 with the prem pack has the auto dim mirrors that are useful for night driving

The difference of 2K is basically the electric 14 way seats

Other than a color preference, #1 is a little more sporty and #2 a little more touring

Both cars are pretty much equal unless there is an option you prefer.

+1. I have the Agate grey. Nice color. We live in the country and the dynamic lights are great on curvy unlit roads. Very safe.

This sums it up pretty well.

Don't forget color though. I'd always go for the car with PASM but I'd stay away from Red unless you really wanted it. Agate Grey is extremely popular and that's going to help with resale if that's a consideration of yours. On a lease resale shouldn't be considered.

I would not just narrow it down to two cars unnecessarily. But with that said I would take car two as with the lease it does not make much difference and the seats and heaters are worth every penny imo.

I looked at dealer inventory in New England, New York and new jersey.

I wish there was something like pre owned search for new cars. It would help a lot.

Please look around out of state and the PCNA has all of them listed. Just pick the options, they will show you where the car is. Don't settle on what you don't like. Still, you are getting a 100k car. If you are leasing getting a 95k car vs 102 k is the difference of approx. only 60 dollars a month. You can and in my opinion should take advantage of the lease offer. Please sit down with the dealer and he can do math for you. Please please consider one with PSE

You've got a tough decision to make. Well, not that tough...it's not like you can go wrong either way. With that said, I like #2 better BUT would really want PASM on my daily driver. If I were you, unless you really like red and the way #1 is optioned, I'd find another car that has PASM in a color you prefer. I had two base 997's without PASM, and now I have a 991S Cabrio with it and it really is much, much better. In "comfort" mode, it's much more compliant than the standard set-up on the base C2 without PASM. If you typically drive on really high quality roads, maybe it won't matter. But I drive 80+ miles every day, so the more comfortable setting became really important for me in a daily driver. And in "sport plus" mode, you can really feel everything tighten up for more spirited driving. One of the only "must have" options on the C2, IMHO.

I think I'm going to pass on the red one, #2 has everything I'd like, I'd rather have PASM than the 20 inch wheels but finding that in stock has been tricky.
