Talking Porsche Camping x-country

So, guys. What's the best car-camping gear to take if you are planning a cross-country trip in your 911? What fits and what doesn't? We would just like to spend less time in hotels. (maybe one every few days instead of every night)

One of the local highways through the mountains (highway 20, the North Cascades Highway) just opened. It's been closed since November! We wanna go have fun.

Think backpacking gear.. I can fit 4 days of food and equipment in a 3800CI backpack (35lbs).

weight isn't an issue with car camping. But, space is.

Add a few luxury's, beer (cans). Good perishable food, at least 2gallons of water. Depending on where you're stopping, bear equipment maybe necessary.

Sm tent
stove
water purifier ( every trip i have one, including flights to different countries)
Sleeping bag (15 degrees warmer than the ambient air) w/ pad
Headlamps
Freeze dried food, or MRE's In case you don't feel like going out to eat.
water, did i say that already:-)
small shovel, axe/hammer
Knives, in my case ( a .45 cal handgun, be careful here)
sporks
M&M's
A beautiful woman makes for a great camping trip. They love it too..
mess kit
towels (never have too many)
soap
toothbrush and paste

On and ON and On

very cool thanks! Just curious, have you ever heard of the Nemo Losi tent? I'm considering the 3 person but can't find a picture of one in its bag. Anyway, appreciate the helpful list. My wife hasn't been camping out here in the PNW yet, she's gonna love it.

Have your wife post a recap of the camping trip so my wife can read it. That's as close as she'll ever get to camping!!

Enjoy
