Welcome! I think you'll find a good global sampling of enthusiasts on the forum. A couple quick tips...
First: As soon as you can, post the build of the car you ordered...everyone will ask.
Second: As soon as you get your car, post plenty of pictures...everyone will ask.
Cheers!

It's cloudy and rainy here too, with a few months of summer relief with gorgeous sunshine
Nice to meet you and you can't go wrong with any color on these cars imo

Don't get the Power Steering Plus. It makes the steering soft at very low speeds, which means you will be annoyed EVERY DAY when you begin your ride.

Welcome YellowPMan! BTW this is just my 2 cents but I have power steering plus and cannot really tell a difference unless its extreeemely low speeds like almost banking the wheel from a near parked position. Coming from a 335 coupe, it feels about the same in softness. When I asked the sales manager at my dealer about the option he said he doesn't even order a 991 without it. Just my 2 cents.

My suggestion about Power Steering Plus is to drive one with it and one without it. It's a relatively minor thing, only at very low speeds. I certainly wouldn't dismiss one off the lot if it had it, but I see no reason to order it..
Just my opinion.

I love my power steering plus - I drove a 997.2 4S before the 991 and I found the steering needlessly heavy at low speeds. The 991 w/psp feels perfect to me, but you'll hear plenty of for and against on this topic.
I second the suggestion to drive one with and without. When I pick up a latte or coffee and am driving about town shifting and steering with one hand, sipping exquisite gourmet java with the other, and enjoying myself thoroughly, I especially am glad to have it.
I now submit to the PSP police. Ouch! I didn't really mean it! I love the heavy steering! I will never drive my manual with a coffee in my left hand again. Ow! ok!
hehe
