Re-read the directions a few times. It's quite difft than other programmable car units. Oh, and take the part about holding the garage door remote close to the right headlamp unit very seriously. I didn't and it wouldn't work until I started over and tried from the outside. This btw is a 2 person job.

Oh, and wipe the garage door transmitter before starting. The directions tell you how to do this. Take it slow and if you follow accurately, it will work. Just programmed my car 3 wks ago when I took delivery of my new 911S. Good luck!

What does it mean to "wipe" the garage door transmitter?

I have tried, and read the instructions 100 times. I even replaced the batteries without any luck. Then, I happen to have my parents' remote, which is for the same brand opener, but it either has one more (or less...can't remember) button than mine. I used it and it programmed the 911 on the very first try. Then, I remembered that I had to do the same thing to our previous car (E500), as well, 3 years prior. So, moral of the story is, use a different type of remote, but the same brand, and it would work because there must be a slight variation in the frequency. Good luck.

The correct method is right there ^ . Find a kid and ask him to do it.

hope I'm not being obvious with this suggestion, but after completing the instructions in the om, you have to push the learn button on the garage opener motor unit then within 30 seconds push the now programmed button in your vehicle. the door should open after that

I needed to open the garage door manual and found this exactly. It then worked.
