Question Paint chip repair kits?

Hi, I have a very tiny (may be a needle tip) rock chip on driver's door that has been bothering me...searched and found dr. Color Chip repair kit...is this any good? They claim no blobs and do have all Porsche paints there including GT Silver...any thoughts on this or any others? How about OEM touch up paint? Thanks.

I have used Dr ColorChip on previous cars and have a kit on standby already for my Guards Red 991. As long as your expectations are realistic, it works great. It matches perfectly and will make minor imperfections practically disappear, it will NOT totally fill a deeper chip although it will make it look a lot better. In theory, multiple applications can fill a deeper blemish but I've never tried that before.

I found that with my previous, dark blue metallic 997, the touch up looked so-so due to the metallic paint. For a non-metallic paint you get an almost perfect match, but with metallic the evenness of the metallic particles is not the same, so in my case the touched-up areas looked a little darker.

I didn't use a kit, just Porsche paint kit that has the color in one container and the clear coat in another.

It looked better than no touch up, but I wasn't thrilled.
