Ahh the sweet sight of a sold tag on a porsche that is to be mine. For years I have browsed the local dealers inventory, merely because I like to see new cars as I am sure many of you do as well. Today I came to an agreement with my dealer on a 2013 991 base. It is platinum silver over black. Specs are fairly modest: PDK, SC, 14 way seats, glass sunroof, bose, heated seats and steering wheel, PDLS, 20 inch carrera s wheels off the top of my head.

Now the challenging part. I am going on vacation to south florida for the last two weeks of the month so I chose to delay taking delivery until I return (Largely because I am leasing and figured why bother taking it when I am out of town) Luckily for me we fit in a nice drive today before I said goodbye. Happy to say for once in my life I was able to come to terms with my nearest local dealer on a new car. It will be nice to get proper treatment from a dealership for once











This forum has been an excellent resource, and enabler, to me over the past few months. Thanks to all who have contributed. And yes, this is my first porsche. Glad it is a 991.

Hmm haven't really considered that. I rather like the red contrast. Those side markers however will be the first thing off. Going to ask the dealer what the cost is and if it is bad ill just order and do it myself. Parts was closed on Saturday.

Thanks. In retrospect it is not a very utilitarian title. I figured there were plenty of pics up of this configuration so it was not important to label accordingly. Plus it did not sink in until I was walking out and saw the tag on the windscreen.
