Default Opinions Please..Spacers and Power plus steering

I'm about to finalize my order on a CS and was wondering about these two options. I'm leaning towards the spacers for the subtle better look and away from the Power steering since I never missed it in my GT3. Opinions...?

5mm spacers especiall on a car with Sport PASM make for nicely filled wheel wells. They widen the track but I doubt theymake any huge difference in handling. I do not have power steering plus and dont find the 991 difficult to steer or park- some on here like the added boost that it gives (only at low speeds).

Spacers: I wish I had them and may add them. PS+: Wouldn't even think about it personally. I don't find the steering heavy at low speeds at all, but these things are relative. I would think coming from a GT3 you wouldn't want this.

My 7.2 GT3 is in for the ACO5 hub recall. I have a loan 981S PDK with PS+. I previously had a manual 981S without PS+ for 4.5 months and 4500 miles.

PS+ is overlight at low speeds for me, feeling utterly inert. Worse, if you are accelerating hard from low speeds combined with steering movement, there is a strange feeling as PS+ goes off. Car feels skittish and steering a touch schizophrenic.

Huh ?
That statement raises a few eyebrows over here...

I can honestly say - I have never, ever felt the power steering plus to make itself noticed at all. Regardless if driving normally or doing a launch.
It does not just go "off". It is a gradual, very measured reducing of steering assistance as the speed starts to increase.
It is so unobtrusive it is all but unnoticable (except for the light steering at parking speeds - which I happen to like).

I personally don't like the "hellaflush" look with the spacers. I think that OEM wheel offsets are perfect.
Power Plus is terrible IMO. Feels like lincoln or old caddy steering, at least at lower speeds....

Interesting comments here... I'm indifferent towards the spacers (and easy to retrofit if you change your mind), but the PS+ was a major recommendation from the local dealership, I don't think they sell ANY 991 models without it.

Power steering plus has been a touchy subject since the 991 was introduced. It's not the same system as the servotronic stuff of days past. I have it, and don't notice it engaging on my car. It just feels right all the time. I've noticed online opinions are fairly opposed on this, and many of the voices are from people who drove it just once. I've driven mine for six months now. Love the way the steering feels as opposed to the 997 C4S I owned previously.

No opinion on power steering plus, but the 5mm spacers make very little difference in appearance IMHO, I just put on H&R 7mm/14mm and it brings it just a mm or 2 from being flush.

I have 7mm and 15mm H&R spacers and bolts if you choose to add them. Please give me a call to order.

I did 7MM F/15MM rear spacers, but to really get the wheel well filled out to my taste i needed H&R springs.
If you car is going to have SPASM you get most of the drop you get by using the H&R's.

cheers
