New C2S this weekend
As this is my first post, first of all thank you all for all of the hundreds of questions i've had answered by reading here. For the last few years my only other P-car has been a modified CTT that I enjoy as a daily driver for it's size/comfort (I'm 6'6" 235) and practicality (don't think mpg, think camping and skiing), but decided it was time to carry much less weight with me unless necessary (back seat, etc).
I was very lucky in finding almost the exact car I wanted in stock at the closest dealership to me here in Seattle (great experience with Barrier Porsche in Bellevue, WA BTW). The only major disappointment was the lack of a glass roof (feels more roomy (and actually is a little bit) for a guy my size). But that car wasn't anywhere to be had in the country, so sacrifices had to be made...
Having driven many great cars over the last several years--Ferrari 360s and 430s (yes the 458 is notably absent here), Lamborghini Murcis (can't fit in a Gallardo), modified M cars and AMGs, etc, I can honestly say there isn't a sports car I would rather live with every day that exists. This includes the remaining 997 variants except the magical RS 4.0, but even then the sacrifices from the exceptional comfort of the 991 may not be worth the gain in rawness/performance (but this, alas, is still another elusive unicorn, and therefore a mute point anyways).
The performance numbers tell a story that doesn't match with the printed data for the 991, but once you drive one, you'll never second guess their accuracy again. To have this level of performance and comfort in one package is a first imho.
As mentioned earlier, I've yet to post here, so in case the photos don't display correctly for some reason here is a link to the actual 911 I bought still on the dealer's site as of this posting:

Thanks Nicoli! Looks like the link at the dealership went down in the 20 minutes since i posted, so i'll have to post some interior pics too--I think they did a great job with the leather interior, especially combined with the SportDesign steering wheel...

Thanks ajag! I guess i just have to honest--to answer your question, I wouldn't have bought one without those options, however i can only say that in hindsight with certainty... Love that color!

I guess i deserve that chuck for not also adding that i had been planning on buying a 997 GT3 for a dedicated track car, and have already learned i don't need to do that anymore...
