Default To track or not to track

I wrote about this a few months back when I bought my new baby and its time. In a few weeks I will be taking my beloved 991 to the track. I have my dedicated track 996 to beat on so its just to try the 991 and just have a little bit of fun.

What can you guys tell me about our 991s behavior on track....what are your experiences????

thanks

Excellent, neutral handling, and predictable. But let me suggest this thread on Tracking the 991 where we've been hammering out details of that answer for the last week or so.

It's a delightful car on track. I was just annoying a friend offlist (who has a 997 and mourns the lost days of pendulum effect) by reporting that I consider my 991 to have much more lively handling than the 997. On track behavior was tremendous fun. I was laughing out loud. He was not amused. Ahem.

My 991S Cab (PDK Sport Chrono, PDCC) was great at Roebling Road in GA!! It just seemed to go where you pointed it at any speed with no muss, no fuss. I played around with tract control on and off and shifting or not. Honestly, it felt best having the car make all the decisions. Incredible machine and BEST 911 EVER!
