Default door sill dimensions and ease of entry/exit

I have a 2008 turbo. I sat in the new 991 at the Detroit auto show. It seemed harder to enter and exit the car. The door sill seemed wider and higher. Is there a difference in the two, or am I just getting old?

I don't have any technical data for you, but I recently moved from a 997.2 to a 991, and haven't noticed any particular difference regarding ease of entry. In fact, the 991 has an "easy entry" feature that moves the seat backward and retracts the steering wheel when getting in and out, but I haven't used it.

I agree. And with my spine problems I use that "easy entry" gladly, so getting in and out is easier than with my 2009 997.2.

Certainly a wider sill than the 993, but can't confirm the 997.
I'm in relatively good shape, but exiting can feel like childbirth on certain days.
Having PASM doesn't help my pathetic attempts at "rolling" out of the car..
