I used a Kuda in my old 997. Was great. Also have one in the Mercedes. Not sure what I will use now for the 991. I really love the clean lines in the 991 cockpit. I see Kuda just came out with something for the 991:

Only problem is that the cup holder will not extend fully and lock on the driver's side, but I could reposition it lower to fix that..I just don't use the cup holder anyway so it's not an issue for me.
Nicoli35, who/how did you make the custom fabricated bracket that you then mount the ProClip on?

ProClip makes a snap-on bracket (yes, it seems that whoever designed it did not think anyone buying one would actually DRIVE their car, so you have to order the UK version that clips onto the passenger side so it stabs the passenger in the knee, not the driver) but it mounts farther back and lower on the console. With theirs, it looks like you'd have to look down to see the screen and lose your peripheral view of the road.

With yours, that issue is resolved, although I would probably try to mount it an inch lower so my cupholder would fully open so I could triple-task and have a Starbucks in the car, too.

Have you thought about taking a black Sharpie and coloring the Apple Lightening cord to black so it not quite so eye-catching?

Thanks in advance.

Howdy - yup, I need to move it down - it wasn't an issue with my previous ProClip cradle Vs the cup holder (the non-cabled iPhone 5 version) but the height changed with the new cradle and haven't gotten the time to go down to Seattle and have them move the bracket. I use a shop named Benchmark Motoring, they are a typical (but good) high-end car solution shop with fabrication abilities and I'm sure any shop like that could do a bracket fabrication for a mount, or perhaps they would make one and send it to wherever you want. It's very stable and secure, I really like it and I'm a stickler for these types of things.

In British Columbia if you even pick up a cell phone in your hand (for any reason whatsoever) and are at a stop light (or moving of course) it's a $168 ticket.

I think I'm a lucky guy because I don't own a cell-phone. (My family don't see any luck in this situation at all, however.....).

What I do have, though, is a pay-as-you-go SIM card which lives in the car in the slot just under the screen so I can be contacted in the car if necessary.

Here is a typical highway driving setup for me- the Escort Live app running on the iPhone cradle, connected via bluetooth to the Escort 9500ci with the display on the steering column and USB connected/powered so not losing any battery while in the car. The music will fade/stop with the Escort app running so I never miss an alert.

The USB connection allows the Above & Beyond Podcast to be heard at loud volume and fairly good audio quality for the Bose system in the car. The stereo Bluetooth connection works fine too, but the quality isn't there like it is for the USB if you really want some thump and clarity with the Bose system.

I use this http://www.mobivalet.com/Genuine-lea...-4S-p/mvbl.htm

Works great but I use it more for my sunglasses than phone.

$168 ?
Really ?
Why such a odd number ?
$100 or $200 I can understand - but what is the reason behind $168.26 (OK, I made up the .26).

Becasue they can set any fine at any amount. It's the government after all. By defiinition the government does not have to be logical.

Multitasking in any car is a BIG no-no. I know some ladies put there makeup on whie driving, but multitasking in a brand new 991 is a big no-no for me, maybe it is because it took me 30 years plus to buy one (and probably will be my last one). i dont want to get into an accident. But if you ar not afraid of small fenderbenders because money is no problem for you ....go for it. I'll be nice o you when you show in my emergency department if you jsut say to me 991 or 911.

Probably indexed for inflation. Instead of the legislature having to deal with changing every fine in the state, they just pass a single resolution that says "all fines increase 3% on January 1", for example.
