I am town between two options right now and would like to know what you think. This will be a third, weekend car, mainly used for fun around town with the top down. It will not be tracked.
Thanks. Edited
What do you think? It is basically a $15,000 difference. I wanted to keep the price under $100,000 but am tempted to get that S, even though the base 991 has the two main options I wanted (PDK and Sports Chrono).

Cabs are heavier...S keeps it up! Suggest go for C2S no brainer. What colors?

as rough guide, depreciation in the first year can range from 20 to 25%, so for option 2 you are on the low end of that estimate. perhaps the dealer is throwing in an extended warranty to justify the added price? i'm sure there are others here who have extensive used car buying experience that can chime in.

Between those two, the S is configured more like a high-end touring car, and you might find yourselves choosing it for trips more often than you expect. It would be my personal preference, but fifteen thousand isn't a big difference for me these days. Both are good value, so test your gut for other places you might put that 15k and see if they taste better. If not, go for it.

Ain't life grand when we have such difficult choices?

You say you are tempted by the C2S.....imagine if you bought the C2: do you think you would be happy with it, or would you always wonder whether you should have bought the S?

The other 2 cars are Jeep Commanders, those are our every day cars (2 kids). Probably going to switch one out for a 4x4 Wrangler Unlimited too. The 911 is the weekend and third car. I wish I had 3 weekend cars. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

No question, the S. As well as the extra performance it has the Sports Exhaust which is what sold my wife (I was already sold) on my ordering a 991S Cab for March delivery. The one you are looking at (the S) has some other nice options too.

For weekend fun around town--go with the Cab. Why spend extra on performance options you're never going to use. And the less mileage the better; you don't know how the S was broken in.
Best of luck!
