Default H&R Springs Installed

I was always a little unhappy with the way the wheels did not seem to fill in the wheel wells in my old 997.1 . I felt the same way about my 991s and set about researching how to get the look i was after. I started with spacers, 15mm in the rear 7 mm in the front. This helped but still didn't really get me to where i wanted. I bought the H&R springs after a bit of research, and had a local independent shop, (Autometric in West Ashley who were great), who specialize in Porsche race cars install and change the alignment a little for better track days. I'm very happy with the result, the ride quality isnt compromised at all and i like the look.
cant wait to get on the track again.
cheers

I think it gets close to SPASM. it ended up dropping the front
about 1.25 inches and the rear a little over an inch

cheers

Looks lower than my SPASM, and the wider spacers sure fill the wheel wells. What does it feel like?

I had it on the track with the spacers and i could not tell they were there. My instructor drove my car as well and he told me that he couldn't tell the car had spacers.
My main concern on the springs was that i didn't want to end up with a harsh ride or grounding out the front lip.
I really didnt notice any appreciable difference in the regular setting. It did seem a little stiffer when i tried the sport setting, but it was negligible and i was on a bit of dodgy road and it could have been my imagination. The front lip hasn't ground out at all. i actually had the front lip CF hydro dipped and clear coated, looks good and may end up replacing with a real CF lip now i know its not grounding out. Want to see if i can put the sports PASM lip on an S, not sure if that is possible.
I need to book my next track day/DE event so i can see if there is any difference at speed. I suspect a better driver than I would be able to tell on the track, but i will yet y'all now when i do that.
I admit, the main reason for doing this was aesthetic, not performance related.
cheers

You can certainly put the SPASM front spoiler on.

It is just steep driveways taken head on that scraps, or backing up, neatly removes it! Exercise care, or as someone here suggested, buy a six-pack!

Also, Porsche has the spoiler elevate to a steeper angle with the SPASM front spoiler, so unless you can get someone to work the software, you may need to exercise caution above oh, 155 or so.

Thanks chuck, that's good to know, i didn't realize that the SPORTS PASM front spoiler sat lower, i had only seen it protrude forward a little more. i will pass on doing that then. The only other things im thinking about is doing something about the plastic between the exhaust tips and the plastic part of the mirrors. There is a CF part available for the rear or i can get it dipped, im still in two minds about the mirrors, i dont want to go overboard with it.
cheers

One of the spy pics of the next GT3 somewhere on the net showed mirrors with a split stalk and reshaped a bit still on the doors, similar to Ferrari. I bet those do something to alleviate the buffeting. If so, they will be a worthwhile mod for those who need to have windows open and sunroofs not popped beyond 85 mph.

Spasm lowers by 20mm. I have it on mine with the sports design kit and ground clearence is not a major issue. I should know, I have the worst driveway in the world
