Had the car in to the dealer today as it had one misfire on startup (ECM failure etc warning) and odd pse vibration described on a separate thread.

The single misfire incident was recorded by car as number 2 cylinder misfire and no further errors were noted with the exception of something of which i had no notice, a left fan malfunction. The tech removed the cowling and spun the fan - a small stone dropped out. The fan then worked correctly.

According to the log it only happened once.

He noted it on the cars record and will check it when I return in spring for a tire change over.

Ok,so it wasn't enough to trigger a check engine light, right?
He found the misfire using his PWIS?

Ok,thanks for clarifying that!
I'm always very interested in diagnosis and in this case why it would misfire so soon...
But it sounds like it's probably nothing...
Keep us posted!
Thanks.

And Porsche still won't put mesh over the huge radiator openings. Crazy.

Give it some time, they might add it to the option list. And then you have to pay more to have it body colored!
