Nah.. the Porsche engineers are too snobbish for that. Anything Nissan would do for the Leaf is beneath them.

Did Nissan put that feature on the Leaf? I had no idea. If I had known I would not have even suggested it for fear of cheapening the Porsche brand...

Yes, they really did. The up level trim of the Leaf includes a small solar panel on the hatch spoiler just to behave as a trickle charger when able for the bare minimum of charge for the electronics, etc., if for nothing else as a fail safe when available, to have enough power to shut down all systems to prevent a complete main battery discharge.

All of this will be historical artifact in a couple of years when all Porsches are plug in hybrids.
