hi binksboy... no worries and for sure it's not to everyone's liking. The nice thing about TechArt that most people don't realize is that they use the same wind-tunnel facility as Porsche and do actually make these parts be functional. Additional brake cooling etc... Their stuff actually does work

The Porsche Aerokit is really nice too I agree although I do think with a tail on back it looks more like a 911 and less like an Aston. But then some people like that.

Everything comes primered and ready to paint. It's impossible to paint and match properly before seeing the actual car

Normally - i hate these kits etc., but i think it looks fantastic. I really like the color and pretty much everything you did to it. You nailed it with the tie in to the 996 color.

I am really starting to like the 991. Damn!

Roger that we would. Then any body shop that's doing the work would be able to color match it either with a piece of the car or the car in person

Thanks Rodsky.. I'm happy to report that they really did their R&D on this as far as fitment, wind-tunnel testing etc... there's nothing that was a got ya. It's all from the same PU-rim porsche-style plastic too Here's the one we did in full a couple of months ago:
http://sharkwerks.com/porsche/991-ca...ii-wheels.html

It's good to know that they actually got their start doing the Porsche exclusive options department work in the 80s etc.. Now that's called Tequipment (Techart is close?) I guess... Even their interior coachwork is pretty impressive:

Here's another agate grey 2012 991 Carrera S project that came into us for some TechArt enhancements. On the menu was the aggressive Type II rear Wing, the Type I Front spoiler, side skirts and rear diffusor.

It's business time, and you know when you're not wearing your wheels at SharkWerks it's always business time:

First we remove the stock rear wing for body color paint matching:

The rear Type II wing is installed and the car programmed for a fixed wing:

The multi-piece TechArt side skirt is now installed giving it more of a wide-body type look:

The more aggressive TechArt front lip is also installed along with brake cooling vents:

Final touches in the rear with Bumperplugs' help on the reflector covers:

The TechArt mirror trim pieces are also installed:

And of course clear side markers:

And now she's ready (at least until she returns for more next time!) to go home all gussied up:

Front TechArt Type 1 spoiler close-up:

Rear diffuser close-up:

And the tail:

Cheerio!

Default Nice kit!

I really like what you have done. How does it compare to an aerokit on price? From your perspective, what are the major differences from aerokit?

Thanks and we only use either factory OEM or indeed Techart. The later is the only after market aero stuff we will do precisely because it's been properly wins tunnel tested at the same university facility that Porsche uses. You can tell the amount of money R&D put into the Techart brand... Their stuff nearly always has a factory style fit so we've been comfy with their stuff. It's an expensive brand for sure but still a lot less than the aerokit. The parts above total around 8?

I like the look.
Kinda looks Turbo or GT3ish, but still subtle.
$8,000. Yikes.

Roger that... bear in mind these are not fiber glass.. but the same style PU-RIM material as Porsche so with paint, install etc... adds up!

Gotta admit, but the OEM Aerokit and the Techart kit look great; would be good to see a side by side pic comparo.

And should I admit, but looks good for those who like Aerobits, similar to the 996 Aerokit on the Mk1 996's; a very well thought transformation.

The Techart wheels are also fantastic too!

Stepping into a new era.....
