Default Adding Sport Exhaust

Has anyone had Sport Exhaust added to their car by the dealer? I am wondering how much labor is involved? Are the wires there and they just bolt it up and plug it in or do they have to run a harness?

I had it installed afterwards. Took them about 5 hours to get everything done. My understanding is that the wiring is there, they just had to install the button and program the feature. They do have to run vacuum lines for the valves, but there is a hookup for that, so it was pretty much all bolt-on.

Did you find it worth it? Do you mind if I ask what it cost?

I am interested, too. I am considering adding it as well. Did you notice a huge difference? Worth the $$?

IMHO, if you're going to spend that much, I'd go for something aftermarket that might actually gain a little bit of hp for its noise. Pretty sure the factory set up is for aesthetics only.

Retrofitting PSE is apparently ~ $2500.

although no hp gains, still a huge diff worth every penny and then some. this and spasm critical to the character of the car. both should be standard imo

I almost wish for louder than the pse with the valves in place for stealth.

Exhaust itself is 3k for the c2s, 3.5k (I think) for c2 base from sun coast. I wonder how hard it would be to install the exhaust yourself then drive to the deal for the programming and wiring..

Love the PSE. Wouldn't be without it! Particularly like the deep grunty noise at lowish revs with open throttle

I wouldn't hold my breath on increased horsepower appearing anywhere except on the seller's own reports.

I like the exhaust. It sounds great on downshifts and overruns and there is no drone. I thought about getting the Akrapovic exhaust but at double the cost and minimal hp gains I figured sticking with oem would be the way to go. It's worth the money imho.

PSE on the 991 is spectacular. I had it added to a my Wife's Cayman R last spring. I want to say it was $2,300 for parts and 3 hours for install.

For those that have done it after the car was delivered (OEM), how long did the dealer take to install? My dealer said 8 hours but has not done a 991 yet...he said a 997 took 8 hours...sounds like a long time but maybe i am nuts!
