im going to go and take a look at this, any feedback on the asking price?
TIA
I am just touching base to see if you are still in the market for a new or pre-owned Porsche? We just traded in a new generation (991) 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe in aqua blue metallic with platinum gray full leather and black wheels. It is currently showing just under 2,500 miles! Options include 7-speed PDK dual clutch automatic transmission, Porsche Automated Suspension Management (PASM), SportChrono Package including Launch Control, PCM with Navigation, Bluetooth, Automatic Xenon lighting system with PDLS, power sunroof, Adaptive Sport seats, full leather interior, heated/ventilated seats, Sport Design steering wheel with shift paddles, and more! We have it priced to sell at $98,999
Thank you. The build MSRP on this was a shade over $120k. Im still thinking they are asking a little too much since Im hearing that new left over 12's are attracting 10% discounts. I'm just trying to figure out what is fair. Its v close to the package i would choose, except i would probably get the sport exhaust.

I think the asking price is actually quite fair. If MSRP was $120k then @ 98,999 that's 17.5% off. Most dealers would have this way over the $100k mark for sure.
You might be able to get a little more off, but IMO it won't last long, it's an eye catcher for sure.
I personally don't care for the wheels, but the rest of it is gorgeous. They have probably got new 2012s that they can't move, and a used one isn't going anywhere soon. Offer 92.
Better yet, if you can - wait 2 months, then offer 90.
I'm trying to locate Base 991's that MSRP'd in the $80's for around a 20% discount (used or new). No such luck, yet.
I'm going to say good luck finding one that MSRP'ed in the '80's. Unless it was a customer order there's almost no way a dealer would have ordered one with virtually no options.
The sticker on the new leftover 2012 Carrera I just got was $91,665 and that's the cheapest one I saw anywhere. They gave me 7.5% off. Percentage discounts are exponential, even if there was that odd car with almost no options, it would lose less of its value dollar wise so I think you're at least a year or two off.
My math shows the discount on this car at 7.5%. Not stellar.
Very good math skills! What dealer will advertise 20% discount off a new 991? They won't sell at as much below cost. I just wanted to point out a low optioned new base 991 with a list price in the 80s available, which also happens to be discounted and attainable for somewhere in the 70s.

That is almost rock bottom I would say. I'm surprised that a dealer would order one with so few options (and kind of weird combination to boot), so I don't think you're likely to find a new one much cheaper.
Wow! Thanks! That's essentially what I'm looking for! In a perfect world, I'm looking for THAT car with a very slight amount of miles on it, should would add some "Used" depreciation to it, and put it right within my price range.
However, it's very hopeful to see that price. I've never owned a 911, so I don't know what Options I'm missing out on. When I was building one I think the ones that were paramount to me were simply the "Premium" I think it was, and a couple other pretty cheap things. Does that car listed show an Options list?
