No, he did not mention shaving, but I am really a beginner, so I was not pushing as hard on the track. I did find that if I managed the hot tire pressure correctly, the PSS grips well. After I wore the PSS out, I am considering Trofeo R.

If you drive the car to and from the track...TRUST ME...do not shave the tires.
