Back to your original question,
There are 2 amps for Burmester and Bose.
Amp-1 [Item-1] is for All Speakers, less Sub.
This is the one under the seat (I was not sure where this was before).
Amp-2 [Item-3] is for the Sub.This is the one above the Passenger Side Fuse Box.

It appears that your failed amp was not the sub amp, but perhaps that non-sub amp feeds signal to the sub amp, which caused your previous lack of base.
It must have been horrible to not have Sub on a Burmester system.

I am looking into a retrofit of the Burmester Sub, and hoping it pans out.

Can you tell me more about how satisfied (or not) you are about the Burmester. Doubt to spec it too....
