Default 991 improvements since inception -- what are they?

So what are the tweaks and improvement done to the 991 so far?

Not the additional options that are available on the 2013, but actual design changes and improvements?

Obviously the fuel line, the mysterious body seal on early cars -- but what else?

I like the Porsche approach of constant tweaks, so curious to hear if folks have noticed other changes?

Is there a list of 2013 improvements anywhere?

Also, can you elaborate (or link to) the fuel line, and body seal changes (and what dates of build they apply to)?

Thanks. I'm curious about these things as well.

i dont think any other changes were made...

the fuel line was fixed before delivery on all vehicles and the seal changes were very minor and very early on.

we have no model design changes yet... and they do not change based on model year ever but need based..

i would encourage some changes with the AC system buttons... hard to reach.

The 2013 power kit is a very expensive option indeed. But it includes sport chrono and PSE.

Yes, seals issue requires a body shop, but I have not been notified of this recall despite having a very early 2012 model. Probably because it never rains in Dubai.

Does anyone know what models the seal issue stopped affecting? I.e what build dates were affected, and after which dates, were not?

Early cars fuel line is an actual recall, so easier to read up on. The body seal, I think, is a "campaign" and harder to get clear info on. Seems it affects very early cars, but perhaps not all.

I wonder if they did little things behind the scenes, as I do not have any rattles, while others seem to. Rumours abound about a PDK update and maybe a steering update, but I have a clean sheet according to the computer.

So no tangible parts tweaks observed yet, it seems. Overall the engineers and testers did a pretty amazing job, IMO.

I have an early 991 base MT. The issues with the car, as I see them, are very minor (e.g., I'd prefer turning off the radio to be a quick one-touch). I was not expecting any notable changes from 2012 to 2013. Still very grateful to all of the potential buyers who backed off out of fear of buying a "first year" model, as this surely helped me get an even better deal.

Actually, come to think of it, CS's were available pretty long before the Base models were, so maybe the Base models have less potential "super early run" kinks?
