Default Car covers

Any opinions on a decent basic car cover? My 991 will be parked and covered mostly in garage and not planning to cover it outdoors. I don't use it as daily driver so just looking to keep dust off it in between driving. I see on EBAY the cheap for about $40 all the way up to almost $300. I'm sure you get what you pay for but for just keeping dust off of it cant see where an expensive one would justify. Any opinions appreciated.

I had a cheap cover on another car and it put very light scratches on the paint. I have not used one since, but if I were in the market I would get the expensive one. As you said-you get what you pay for. You also have to keep in mind the price of the car it's going on. Cheers.

The problem with car covers is that the car should be really clean, and probably dry, before you put it on. I have the $300 cover, and it just sits in a plastic bag because it fits so perfectly that I never feel comfortable installing it. I worry that some grit will scratch the car. I also have a loose cover that cost less than $100, but it doesn't have the soft lining that the $300 cover has, so I don't use it either. I think, have somebody sew some nice cotton sheets together and just toss it over the car....just like folks did over their furniture in their summer cottages...

my impression is that a little dust is preferable to the scratches a cover may occur with the use of a cover
