Ok so I installed a clear bra on my black 991 bumper and half hood. So far, so good but I did notice 2 chips that are really small that have penetrated the clear bra
I guess they are not perfect protection! Anyone else see a few blemished with a clear bra installed?

I've always wondered about that. It's all good when you have "light hits" but what about a "hard hit?" I don't have it on my car, but took a bad one on the fender where it comes standard. It looks bad and the only way to fix it is to replace the entire thing. My bonnet has a lot of chips too, so I am very interested in a clear bra on my next car. Sorry, this doesn't answer your question which seems to be-to wrap or not to wrap.

I've had the full coating on three of my four 911s and have never seen that.

The front third of my car is covered and so far so good. It has protected the paint well (no chips) but it is harder to clean than paint.
I use the car on the track so easy to get lots of small and a few large chips and lots of black streaks coming up from the track. And it looks like waxed paint unless you look really close at the seams.
I would certainly do it again.

Think its a function of my car being black which can show imperfections more clear? Surely if a rock hits the bumper hard enough, it will penetrate through, no? Or did installer just use very thin film which I doubt...
Granted this never happened on my silver 997.2 but that was silver which never showed an imperfections...

My car is dark blue and regularly sees 100+ on the track but nothing has got through the film yet. But I'm sure the right rock could.
The ding in my exaust header from a big rock is a bummer for sure but film mould not have helped.
