She's finally here!
Well, my 991 Carerra base finally arrived. I thought I'd share some quick and dirty pictures from my dealer pick up.
First impressions:
I absolutely love the roar of the engine when on Sport mode. Makes me smile every time.
The ride is smooth and the technology finally feels appropriate for it's price level.
The manual is great, with short throws and a great hand feel. The clutch is much stiffer with shorter travel than my BMW.
More later, but for now ... I'm ecstatic!

Stunning 991, I love the new body style more and more. I think its great you opted for the manual trans, I drove in a 991 Carrera S equipped with the paddle -shifters and it sure was a blast to drive, very fast and seemless up and downshifts, but I still would rather buy one with the 7speed manual.
Great looking split five spoke wheels too, the first ive seen with those opposed to the more common thin multispoke design. I personally want to buy a set of 17" ADV.1 version 5.0SL which stands for "super light" 3 piece track function for my 993! Google ADV.1 wheels. They have built the most amazing different styles of wheels and offer the customer a ton of options.
Anyway, as I ramble on here I just want to congratulate you, so enjoy you're beautiful 991 and post more pictures. Oh, how do you like the new interior?

Congrats! Still waiting on mine due mid July.
Question... You mention you like the roar of the engine In sport mode, did you get sport exhaust or is it diff roar in standard exhaust with and without sport mode?
Mine will be a MT as well. Thx

For some reason, when I hit sport mode, the engine behind me sounds much louder, more throaty and awesome. I've heard tell of some trickery where sound is piped into the cabin when this button is engaged but cannot say for certain if this is reason.
