Question 991S pricing offer

Hello all,

I test drove the 991 yesterday at a dealership nearest to my home and configured a car with all the options I wanted with the manager.
His initial offer was 4% off the MSRP of approx. $118K.

I was wondering, is this a good offer?

Sorry for the question, I couldn't find a lot of info online related to the pricing of the new 911.

Thanks in advance for your input.

From what I know or hear 4-6% is the typical discount. I'd say your guy is a straight shooter! Does vary by geographic location.

Depends on cab vs coupe. Cab is 4% and understand coupes are 5-6%.

You are so right !
Try 0%.
We have three dealerships in the country - but they all belong to the same crowd. Like you have a choice...

Any discount off msrp I assume would be for cars from dealer inventory, what about a custom ordered car, anything?

I ended up with 4% off a lightly optioned 2013 S cab that I ordered in April. The list is about 118.

Our dealer said the order does not hit the quota until delivered, and they cannot estimate delivery until the car is in production. Therefore it does not matter when ordered, but if you know what you want then there is no work for them either....

Thanks for all the input guys.
This will be my first Porsche, I think it will be quite an upgrade from my E46 and E92 M3s..

Oh, I'll be ordering an S coupe. It seems to be very hard to find a car that matches my liking.. (I want all the performance bits and none of those "sunroof" and "leather interior" bits.)

I'm from western PA, if this helps.. There are two other dealerships near me, so when I get the chance, I will go check them out..
From my understanding of your responses, the 4% off MSRP initial offer is just so-so, not impressive at all... I'll see what others can offer.

The dealership knows I am very serious in ordering an S, so I wish there will be a bidding war between them, although unlikely.. haha.

Thanks again for all of your inputs.
