Interesting. The 991 "normal" is already so wide bodied, I can only imagine how wide the 4 will be. I've seen pictures of the 991 Carrera next to a 997 Turbo, and the 991 Carrera seemed to have noticeably wider hips. I can only imagine the 991 "4" will almost be 993 esque in its hip girth.

I had the exact same thought and I can't wait to see them side by side. When I first laid eyes on the 991 in person, the width of her behind was really striking (beautiful lines). The 4, if wider, would almost be grotesque. Can't wait.

Actually, looking at some of those "4" pics, the rear almost looks funny wide, like it doesn't look right IMO. I'll also have to see the final product to see if that's how I truly feel about it.

In certainly looks as though the spy pics show a wider rear section as the sills are different along the sides. Porsche typically announces new models before major autoshows. My assumption is that the C4 variants will be officially announced within two months with the car first shown to the public at the Paris autoshow and new turbo and/or GT3 will be first shown in Geneva next year.
