Ok took a look today at the vent differences on 991/S. The radiators appear to be physically the same size, just the outer section of the each front vent is blocked either side of the car to restrict/reduce the passage of air flow into the actual radiators. This same vent restriction was on both base manuals and base pdk's yet not on any of the S cars. The service tech hadn't noticed so said will ask and find out why. Agree this is odd and there must be a logical explanation for this.
