Too late by look of it. Not even a keg of beer will put out that fire. Agree, the rhetorical remarks are becoming very old.
And the massive size difference? I guess a dwarf would notice 2.4 inches and complain about it, as the 997 was probably on the big side of things anyway. Maybe Porsche should set up a height bar up in their sales showrooms....
And re the OP. Well i can't say i've ever been a big fan of seeing sheep dressed up in wolves clothing and this just serves as another example where that has happened. Maybe the owner thought because his 991 can match the GT3 at the ring its entitled him to put some of GT3's clothes on. A bit cheeky if you ask me....and looks ridiculous to boot. He needs to at least correct the ride height and stance, rims, front air dam etc.
Re the rendering: The car looks fantastic. To me the rear bar looks a bit overdone.... I'm sure Porsche will ensure a better result...

If the 991 GT3 ends up looking like something close to these renderings I won't be too disappointed regardless of context....Plz Plz Porsche.. have a wart on the new GT3 to ruin it ..plz !!!!

Still trying to figure out what the guy did here. Unlike the 997GT3RS, the shut lines of the engine cover are not where the uprights meet the bodywork. Looks like it is mounted on top of the existing retractable wing; when it is deployed up and out, I think the add-on wing will be at a very interesting angle.
I'm sure the chicks dig it, though.
