Default PTV not limited slip?

"Even without the $1,320 PTV torque-vectoring system, turn-in is sharp and utterly accurate.

Sitting 0.4-inch lower on $1,790 PASM suspension with adjustable dam*pers and four more vertical motion sensors than be*fore, our test car offers a supple ride and superb body control. Armed with a limited-slip diff (no price yet),..."

Got this out of the latest Excellence where they test the Boxster S. I had previously inquired here about the limited slip and was told that the PTV includes the limited slip. Does not appear to be the case. Can anyone shed addtional information for me? In my next P car (either 991 or Boxster) I want the LSD and am not sure about ordering it. I looked on the configurator this AM and did not see any LSD listed. TIA !

The description for PTV from the configurator:

Variable drive torque distribution by intelligent braking of the rear wheels. Includes mechanically locking rear differential with asymmetrical locking (22% under traction, 27% on overrun).

So yes, it is a LSD.

It really hurts to hear any Porsche's ride described as "supple".

But that's what PEOPLE WANT! Supple ride and to BBQ in their 911! That's why so many fanboys like 991!

Are you sure?
It's perfectly possible to combine PTV with PDK in the configurator...

Apologies-corrected I am. And so I will ask when with instructors why no PTV (Electronic) used with PDK on the Boxster, and is the mechanical in fact available in each.
