Default Finalized 991 Carrera S Order

I finalized my order in for a July delivery.

2013 Carrera S

White with Black Interior
Bose Stereo Package
Premium Package
Glass Sunroof
Heated Multi-function Steering Wheel
Heated Seats, Ventilated Seats
14-way power seats
Sensors - front and rear
Electric Folding Mirrors
PDK transmission
Sport Chrono Package
PDCC with PASM sport suspension
Sports Exhaust
Sports Chrono
20 inch Platinum Carrera Wheels

I would love to have a manual transmission, but my left knee is so bad, that I have to settle for PDK. At least, it is better tuned than in my Panamera.

Anything else that I should include?

I would also suggest changing the mf steering wheel for the sport design wheel. Paddles are the only way to go with PDK's.

IMO, those satin finished wheels are the nicest looking Porsche has made.

My build originally had the black painted S wheels, but my dealer suggested these. I like the look a lot better!

Thinking of adding the sport design package with the duckbill. Any thoughts?

I think you did a pretty good job ordering your new car....
Sure there are always more and more to add but you did it your way.

Congrat's on your new ride!

Speaking from the first 1000 miles and having those options, I'd suggest:
add Plus steering;
add Park distance if it's not already in the Premium pack or whatever;
stick with the multi-function steering wheel and add the paddles out of spare parts;
delete PDCC and PSE until you have a specific intent and have driven a car with these options -- they're not cheap and they don't do much;
folding mirrors don't do much, but they're an inexpensive option;
add driver memory and keyless entry (maybe they're already in the premium pack)
delete the sunroof altogether;
maybe the 5mm wheel spacers to fill out the fenders if you're not going to need snow chains;
consider the Burmester -- the Bose is junk.

I can only suggest driving cars with and without Plus steering, PDCC and Sport PASM -- these are all going to be things that are very different to different drivers and different circumstances. As a daily driver around a city like San Francisco with unmaintained roads and outrageous potholes, Sport PASM would be tiresome. Unless you plan track time or enjoy frequent aggressive road driving, I'm not sure PDCC is worth it. The normal exhaust sounds very good, so PSE is probably a tad superfluous -- definitely on the "nice to have" rather than the necessary end of the selection spectrum.

Funnily enough, it's so hard to see out of the car, you really benefit from Park distance (which has a very cool graphic, just like the Panamera) but the car really needs a back-up camera ... there's a good 20 feet behind the car that's invisible.
