I've already placed my order for my 991 Carrera s .. The question is

Definately YES! With PDK it changes the whole feel of the car. With a 7 speed the biggestbthing is the Dynamic Engine Mounts.

How true on the clock. The dash is so much cleaner w/o it. At least it looks better on the 991 than the 997, tho.

You can get it without the clock. Don't include it on your factory order and have you local dealer install the Sport Chrono package after you get the car. End result = no "clock!"

Dealer install?? Not sure that would be possible given the dynamic engine mounts.

I know the dynamic engine mounts are included with Sport Chrono, but he asked specifically about having Sport Chrono without the timer, so I told him how that could be accomplished.

BTW, a few of the GT3 guys have installed the dynamic engine mounts on their cars (997 GT3) after delivery because the wiring harness was in the car from the factory which enabled them to install the dynamic engine mounts.

I like the clock now. I also like the sound of the second hand ticking along when I am sitting in the car turned off. Dash looks empty w/out it, to me now.
