I have been waiting for the first of several track days planned with my 991S (PDK, Sport/lowered suspension, PDCC and Sport Exhaust) and it happened Saturday at Miami-Homestead. The track was set-up for Grand Am using Nascar turns 3 & 4. I have been at Homestead a few times prior with my modified Boxster Spyder. The 991 was not fully broken in so I tried to keep shifts below 5,500 rpm.
First Impressions:
1) Limited zoot in the mid-rev ranges (probably comes alive above 5,500).
2) Feels heavy through the sharper turns--not a steering or body roll issue--just weighty.
3) Great sound--but nothing like the .2 GT3 that was on track.
4) Looks I like burned through about 25% of the rear tires in 4 sessions
5) Can't report on launch control--don't see how I could ever use it in HDPE.
I'll update again after Sebring on March 31 when I will open it up with sport plus for the first time.

My Spyder was modified w/Evoms intake, IPD plenum and Softronic tune--very quick (guestimate of 345hp at 2,900+ lbs versus 400hp at 3,250+lbs for 991. Without the mods it felt pokey. The Spyder always felt that it was a track tool--very neutral, responsive and light. The 991 feels more like it is being electronically tamed to perform on the track. However, it feels much more linear and confidence-inspiring at speed. It really hunkered down on the banks.
