Default best dealer from which to order 991?

I'm obviously new here and have never owned a Porsche. I have gotten to the point where I've tried the rest, now I'm going to buy my dream car.

I was torn between a CPO'd 997 or a 991 and I think Im leaning toward the 991.

Which do you all believe to be the best, most fair dealership from which to order a car?

I'm located in Oklahoma City and have no problem traveling a little to get a car. When it comes to buying a Porsche, I'm totally ignorant, so please be easy on me. Can these cars be bought with a discount from msrp? Do lease rates very regionally or is there a standard?

Thank you for your help and advice. It is greatly appreciated.

Give your local dealer a try. You will be taking your new car there for service anyway, might as well develop a good relationship.

Assuming the deals are somewhat similar, I totally agree with this statement.

I'd suggest talking to all the local dealers in your area. Feel 'em out for how they treat you and how knowledgeable they are about Porsche. Considering how much these cars cost, part of the buying experience is to have some fun going through this process. I just spent 2+ hours tonight at my local dealership pricing a car and it was a very pleasant experience.

If you have the time and the patience, price out the same car at a couple dealerships and see how prices vary (if at all).

Should you have (massive) issues with a car, the dealer you bought it from may go to bat for you more easily to satisfy their customer. However, any dealership should glady take the service work if you indeed buy from a non local dealership.

I've been reading that some dealers are offering around 3% off sticker.

its interesting, iv never had luck buying cars in okc. i deal with the mercedes and bmw dealer in tulsa as they always have MUCH better pricing. I'm not talking a $500 difference, but in several cases, many thousands of dollars.

i plan to start at my local dealer and go from there. I was mainly curious to see if there is a well-known dealer that provides consistently aggressive pricing.

Jackie Cooper Porsche in Tulsa seems to be a good place. Ask for Nizar. Really good guy and a car enthusiast.

If you decide NOT to use a local dealer give Jamie Chomo @ Porsche Nashua (NH) a call @ 603-595-1707. they are a Porsche Premier Dealership and are a really great bunch of guys!
