New Build
Well, after a lot of back and forth, I think I've finally come up with a build for my 991S.Here goes:
Aqua Blue Metallic
Expresso Natural Full Leather
Fuse Box in Leather
Power Sports Seats (14 way)
Premium Package
PDK
Sport Chrono Package
Sport Design Steering Wheel
Light Design Package
Burmester Audio Package
Gauges in Black
20 inch Carrera S Wheels
Colored Wheel Center Caps
Delete Model Designation
I think that about covers it. I haven't seen an Aqua/Expresso combo but I'm sure there's one out there somewhere. I'm just looking for somewhat of a unique but attractive build that I can live with for a long time.
I have the option of ordering a 2013 for an August delivery or getting a 2012 in six to eight weeks. I don't think I can wait as I don't want to lose almost an entire summer of enjoyment.

Yeah, I'm retiring soon and the car will be used strictly for pleasure, trips, etc., no track time. From where I live in North Dakota, it's about 230 miles to my Porsche dealer and I can count the number of curves on the highway on one hand. Same going in the other direction, although we do have some nice twisties if you seek them out. Anyway, the car I test drove lacked both PDCC and the Sport Chrono package and still was a wonderful drive. As you can see, I added the Sport Chrono to sharpen things up a bit and that should suit me just fine. As to the PSE, I figured it might be a bit much what with the Burmester package.

Having driven a non PSE car last week, I feel for a road car it is perfect.
Save the $$ or get something else with the $$
If I get a 991 it will be without PSE
For comparison, I have a 997 GT3 and a 993 C4S

If you're getting a 991S, just splurge and get PDCC. You will not regret it.... I mean, you're getting your fusebox in leather, how often will you touch that? :-P Love the color combo, enjoy it in good health!!!

Thanks guys
The only reason for leather on the fuse box is to hide the black plastic cover. Figure if I'm spending that much on the natural leather interior, the black fuse box cover probably will stick out like a sore thumb. I'm doing another test drive this Saturday so I'll take a closer look at it.
The car I'm going to test drive doesn't have PDCC or the Sport Chrono package.
I'm also going to check out the Bose system, as on my last drive I concentrated on the drive itself and did not sample the audio system. I'm not a big fan of Bose but I'm wondering if road and tire noise will mask the superior dynamics of the Burmester system. I know these 61 year-old ears aren't what they used to be, either.
We shall see Saturday.

Be sure to post some pictures once you get your car delivered.

To my 61 year old ears the Burmester is worth every penny. I am an extreme audiophile. I have similar goals as yours. Went for non "S" model. Did not think extra power was worth the 14K. Just want a fun luxury car to drive..sorry not a track guy.

Owning any Porsche 911 means never having to say your sorry.
