Default Timing for the C4S?

Has Porsche announced timeframes for the C4S delivery to the US? I've gotten different answers depending on which dealership I'm in...ranging from fall '12 to early '13. Also --- any time advantage to arranging european delivery? Appreciate any insights...

I think the car will be shown this spring/summer with deliveries beginning in the fall. It is in Porsche's best interest to get the 4wd variants out before winter.

My dealer assures me they won't be available until the middle of next year. I am not sure I believe him. With the Geneva show next moth, I would have thought Porsche would want to show something new?

Hmmm, with 997.1 the C2 and C2S shipped early 2005 with C4 and C4S shipping by November 2005.

My money is on the first 991 C4/C4S deliveries taking place October'ish...

They assure you of that because they want you to buy a C2S now and not wait until the C4S comes out. As for the Geneva show, the new Boxster is debuting there I believe, but you could be right, they might show something else.

Spot on. I really want a 4S, my fourth, and this is a way to get my money now. Mind you, they will probably get it one way or the other! I wouldn't be surprised if they announce the cars in Geneva in 3 weeks. Pity I don't think I can go this year.

Mark.

I just hope that they can produce a C4S that rivals the look of the 996 version. I thought that was the best looking 996 variant. The 997 version didn't do much for me.
