Default Black interior - what color belts?

I'm about to order a black/black all leather 991. Typical spec that most have here from PDCC to PSE.

Of minor importance is the belt color - was thinking silver given the trim on the doors etc, but yet to see it done.

Any thoughts?

I could be wrong about this as I've not seen that particular combo and maybe it looks ok. My thought, though, is that you're doing black on black; silver belts are going to stand out like a sore thumb.

Black looks the best and wears the best.

Figured it may need some color to brighten it up inside (or at least provide some contrast) - initially thought red to match the calipers, but not convinced.

I just think that if the belts are the only contrast they will stand out too much. Since you're getting full leather, maybe you should consider deviating stitching in red or silver. Then the belts in either color would fit in better, or you might get the contrast you want without colored belts. JMO. Obviously, you need to please yourself.

I like having a bit of racy contrast, and agree that red to pick up the calipers, as well as the buttons at the other end of the seatbelt, works.

The silver is kind of elegant though, and at least in the 3d configurator, looks nice with the other silver trim.

Those deviating color belts look ridiculous, especially when you're wearing them.
Just another opportunity for Porsche to charge a princely sum for an assembler to grab a belt out of a different box!

This type of a decision is very subjective. Go with what you like. I saw a basalt black 991 with black interior-very smart. The interior looked a bit more grey than black, which was nice. Cheers.

Do a different color seatbelts, ONLY IF, you match it up with quite a few interior bits. For instance, if you did bits and pieces in red, a red seatbelts goes well... otherwise, stick to black.

As always - a personal taste preference. I have my order down to Agate Grey, black interior with all leather, red stitching and red belts.

-OR-

Agate Grey, red interior, grey carpet, grey stitch and black belts.

So I am as confused as you are. Silver would look elegant - but I have not seen this in person. Red will stand out if that is the only red in the interior - may be alittle too much. Don't know if there really is a absolute wrong answer.

Good luck on your build.

Red belts in the front, black in the rear, only if you have the red calipers, colored wheel crests, and a red leather key fob. Groovy.

Black belts. If you were to go for any of the two-tone interiors then maybe matching the belts to one of those colors might work.

In that ^ situation I would go with gray belts.
