Any word yet if the cars have been released from port? Last I heard they were still being held for some reason, and a lot of dealers were canceling or postponing their launch events.

Dealers are asked to do it on the 4th. When they actually do it is obviously they're call.

PCNA wants the launch on 4 Feb. I would gues that if they get the idea that a dealer will do it before that day, they will hold that dealers cars.

My dealer will not be until 2/17...way late if you ask me. We have 3 dealers locally and I have purchased from 2 of them. I am waiting to see if the other dealer has a launch sooner.

Park Place Porsche in Dallas has a 991S on their showroom floor - platinum silver on black. Very nice in person. I was surprised, however, at how little the exterior appearance differs visually from a 997 as compared to the previous recent redesigns (996 vs. 997.1, 993 vs. 996). From pictures, and with the longer wheelbase, I guess I thought it'd look significantly different than the 997.2 and it just doesn't (a good thing, if you ask me).
