Default 2012/2013 cutoff?

anyone know when the cutoff will be for them to start 2013 models?

i originally thought since the 997.2 has a 2012 model that all 991 would be 2013 but several articles declare it a 2012 model, so would the 2013 be august like usual or bumped up like the case of the 2011 cayenne turbo that came out in january 2010?

Based on the conflicting things I've read and been told by my dealer over the past six months or so, I don't think anyone really knows for sure until the US spec 991's hit our shores with their documentation!
The logical conclusion regarding Porsche holding back US cars until February seemed to imply all new US 991's would be 2013's, but that is apparently not for sure...

just seems odd to me, to have a year share models (then again 2005 had both 996 and 997 models)

Wasn't that for different models-996 turbo and 997 C2?

i think regular models were 2005 as well, when i bought my 2005 cab it was hard to judge value because half the online 05's were 996...

I bought a 997 S cab last month. It is a 2012. Dealer told me 991's will also be 2012's.

My 991 (for delivery in San Francisco) is complete and ready to ship. The VIN number decodes to 2012.

It's more common for model overlap. There are both 2012 and 2013 991 cars. The 997 ceases with the 2012 model year.

The release of the 991 will be a 2012 model. My Carrera GTS delivered in September 2011 is also a 2012 model....997 model that is.

yeah, im curious when cutoff is... i would prefer to have a 2013, my base 3.4 has not even gotten a firm build date yet because they supposable havent started production of the base models yet, just delivering "S"'s here soon...
