my Dealer has stated that no base models will be built until almost june of 2012 because they are focusing on building PDK "S" models...

what has everyone else heard regarding this? I have a base on order and now they cannot even give me an estimated completion date, I feel like almost requesting a 2013 now instead of a late 2012 991.. (heard june is 2013 production)

I've been told earliest Carrera production is April with delivery roughly a month later...and all US models will be 2013's.

OP: I've heard all the same info. Even the manual S won't be available for a bit.

just puts a hinderance on plans, i thought they would hit US soil jan/feb (pdk s models) and then others soon after...

now i need to find another fun car between now and then.

And here is a reason to wait 1-2 years after a launch of a new model. Kinks, shipping delays etc...

As of Friday night my confirmed build date is 3/22 for a 7 speed manual base car
