It looks like they don't want you messing with the engine!

That car has no engine. Is it an option on the 991?

Nice photos, thanks for posting. Still need to see it in person to get a real sense for it, particularly that new ridge across the backside. Based on the photos, also agree with your conclusion to a large extent:

New 991 is bigger than the old one...Styling is pretty “safe”. I would expect purer, spartan and simpler dash from a sports car. Today new 991 is in par with luxury Panamera and Cayenne. So, I’ll be waiting for upcoming GT and RS models, hope they step “back” to side of more sportier cars than the one revealed at Frankfurt

These 991s are growing on me.

Someone, please order one with a red interior and sell it to me in 5-10 years, OK? I'd be happy to confer with you on the spec sheet...

Ha, I was thinking the same ****. I love the look of the 991, and I don't like the look of the standard 996/997. They're (obviously) similar, but the tweaks change the whole character of the car. After the 993, the unflared wheel arches and new droopy headlights soured me for a decade. The 997 is a step up, but still not enough that I wouldn't rather have a Cayman.

Does anyone know what Porsche colour the Blue car in the first picture is? It looks too dark for Aqua Blue and too light for Dark Blue. The Porsche 991 web special also features a Blue car (registration S VM 991) and the colour of this seems to change from light to dark to back again. Is this a standard Porsche colour or a colour-to-sample?

the blue cars are dark blue metallic. the indoor lighting makes it appear much lighter than in natural lighting conditions. i think dark blue is the color to get, but that silver looks beautiful as well.
