Default Planet9 drives the 991

First 991 test drive - Planet9 drives a 991 test mule.

Notice that this fellow's metric is to bring the 911 to his idea of a 'stable' car like his Cayman...

I'm guessing the author just blew the embargo agreement and will be getting a terse phone call from the mothership shortly.

Still, thanks for the link ADias. Interesting stuff.

Yeah, not sure I would have jumped the gun on that. Would be nice to be invited back another time. Clearly the photos that are circling were not accompanied by a press release...

I don't buy it. Official international press drive is in November. There will be high-profile press that get to drive it first. We have staff attending. There's a technical backgrounder in August with no driving.

Who is this person?

I'm also skeptical. Is it a ruse to generate traffic on the site? If not, well, wow: Ken Smiley, of caymanclub.net>planetporsche.com>planet-9.com, posts his 991 drive report before Kacher, Harris, et al.

I guess I've seen stranger things happen, but not many. To my knowledge, no media has driven it so far; selected journos have only ridden in it.

Either way, this might end up more interesting to watch than the actual introduction of the car.

I'm going to have to call Horse-**** too. This is far fetched at its best. Would have to have video of homeboy, author and test driver on this one to make it believable.

not digging the front or rear bumpers, or the balance between the front and back of the car (the back is longer than the front) not digging the interioe either!

If that is the base, it looks bettter then the current base.
Starts to become more normal car inside and out.

I don't care until GT3RS comes out in a few years.
If it is lighter with more HP then the 4.0 I will start paying more attention.

You're like the man from Del Monte (an old 80s fruit juice advert in the UK) who "knows". Ze Germans don't like embargos broken that's for sure....

PS CTR3 looks yummy!

I'm thinking the new mid-engine car (rumored) might be yummy ... actually the Panamera 2-door artists impressions look pretty cool too!

I wonder if PTS in MB is available?

Never right away. Give it a few months from launch.

Wouldn't that be a huge risk? I mean, to make up and deliver such an elaborate lie... If it got out that it was untrue, Planet-9 and the owner would lose all credibility.

I'm curious why you guys feel that this is less than legit. I'm not disagreeing. I'm just curious why you think so.
