Like how the led lights are making the DRLs and side markers more compact. The mirror change I care less about. I do hope the added dimensions (reportedly about an inch and half longer) wont come with an extra 100kg in weight...

Bet taken, Mr. 996/Smart.

Will gladly donate $100 if they can add 2 cylinders and likely more cc's, without serious disruption to their emissions and MPG ratings. There are tradeoffs for this type of change. Hope you are correct, but I can't see it happening.

I'll join grizfish's bet if you're willing to double down... that PAG just came out with the 9A1 block tells me they still have some R&D to recover from the existing platform.

Should I lose I'll sucker up the extra $100 and add that to the bill of my next F8 911

yes mirror are very TT, large version of TT.
the nose is really "unresolved" in my eyes. most porsches have that issue.
long nose, 993RS, 993TT/TTS, 6gt3, 7gtx are exceptions.

Definately has a VW front end. There has been talk of enlarging the REAR compartment; why would I want a four passenger 911??? I know the current platform is a four passenger, but at least it's for amputee children not full size adults.

Ditto

Another issue I see with any new Porsche is the entire car will run from a complex computer system (the vav and all the other stuff). Just more stuff to break that takes a complex computer science engineer to fix

Oh god! Please, not another CNC BMW. I actually like the more muscular look, definetly a 911, lighter weight, more power is good too.
