Default 991 Interior Shot

I hope they rip out that center console for the 991 GT3 RS.

Interesting article pgD2 today's WSJ re: weight reduction in future cars. Highlights Lambo Sesto with 2,200lb curb weight and 570hp V10. 400hp and 2,200lbs would be epic, let alone 570.

Can't see the 991 dropping much weight if they're stuffing the interior with more luxury content, but maybe they've found a way.

My 997.2 is looking better and better. Question is, will I still be able to drive it in 15yrs in a world of 62mpg avg fuel economy?

Nice to know they smoke Camels and use the cupholders over there, it is our fault for "Americanizing" them and now we have the switches and ***** to prove it!

Yup, and just like the new Cayenne. Taking parts sharing to the extreme...

i love all the buttons in the pan and cayenne, but in the 911 seems out of place. and common, no redesigned cup holders! at least make them out of carbon fiber

evolving the interiors with the cayenne first, then that stuff trickles into the 911. pretty lame!

Just a standard 911 interior shot. Anyone's guess re: PDK in next GT3. Time does march on though...

Only 41 buttons?
And only two of them for windows? They could add another 2 there easily.

No confirmed options for wood trim and sport chrono yet or I see a bulge in the covered dash? Would love to add them.. for sure

Also this console creates problems with passenger girlfriend they covered for her not reaching out to you, but I mean she probably still can see your face maybe they should raise it higher?

Can’t wait.

Horrible interior, too busy, that's ok for Panamera/Cayenne, but has no place for the 911 (and I guess the Boxster/Cayman will get it too).

Stage 1: share parts among all the model lines to reduce costs.
Stage 2: share parts among all the brands (VW, Audi, Lambo, Porsche, Skoda, etc) to reduce costs even more.

I thought this might happen. VW's omnipotent influence? Only time will tell.......the 2010 and 2011 gt3/rs might be the last of true Porsche DNA. I don't care if Porsche shares parts with the Cayenne and Panamera.....they are both boats, or share parts between Cayman and 911.....they are both sports cars, but across the board????? No thanks. Will the MSRP come down???
