I would be surprised to see R&T risk their reputation by putting a bogus rendering of the car on it's front cover and calling it the new Porsche. Unless you believe that no one in the world has seen this thing in the flesh by now. You can probably expect to see the Panamera themes in the headlamps, front and rear fenders don't you think? I read in a Euromag that the car has electric handbrake and engine auto stop/start (what ever they call that economy technology). Any one else seen that? Can't believe they would give up the traditional hand brake or have the engine kill feature, at least not in a sport mode.

Not defending the 993 and I would love to have a 997 turbo but I dont think the 993 looks dated at all when done correctly. When stock, yeah ok, it does not look too hot, but this..... it looks soooooo perfect.

Well this going to tick the purists off even more I think...
Because it's suppose to be a...retractable...hardtop!!
Fashioned out of a light weight aluminum/composite, saw the patent drawing for it and it looks like this is really going to happen...
Check out the back shot, this is a fairly good rendering when compared to the camouflaged original, not crazy about the tail nor the headlights... I hope the artist got that wrong.
My guess is everyone is going to find something they'll love... and hate.
Cheers,
Sid.
