Hello All , I have the 991 , weather was around 35 deg C / 95 deg F , the car was like over 1 hour of traffic then went up the mountains with full throttle almost .. I realized that @ high revs at any gear the Oil pressure bar level is reaching the red line ( which is 4.x bar ) is this normal ?? Can anyone share his inputs ? My car is 2012 Carrera S 991 3.8 L Regards,

What oil are you running? How old is the oil? Viscosity?

Hi ,
The car only has 5500 miles .. still under warranty and the oil I think it is still the originally filled or changed once at the dealership according to Porsche specs ..
You think I should change the oil and filter ?
Tomorrow I will go to the dealership and get the complete records of the car

To confirm, in 7th gear at 70 mph with steady throttle and no grade, your oil pressure will be at about 32-34 psi.
