Manual vs PDK pricing?
I hear a lot of talk about manual’s bringing a premium but when I price my 2018 C2S both ways the PDK comes out $10,000 higher, which makes sense because PDK costs a lot more than a manual car.
I know this will be contested here, but those are the numbers. So if you disagree prove it with facts.

Manuals can bring more money when connected with the right buyer, but it can take longer to find that buyer.
In other words, if you're in a hurry to sell a manual, don't expect a premium for it.

I think manuals only came in 10% of the total production numbers of the 991. It's purely anecdotal but when I was searching for my 991.1 manual, the good condition manual ones were definitely more difficult to come by and more expensive than a similar spec in PDK. They also sold a lot quicker than many of the PDK examples as they rarely popped up for sale. Again this is just my own experience from searching for a good 6 months.
I am confused as to what you mean by “when you price it out both ways.” How are you pricing it out?
PDK was an option that did indeed cost about $3-4k to put on the car when new. Porsche steered people toward it. Back then in 991 era, cars weren’t always pre-ordered/pre-sold so dealers took PDK cars into inventory regularly. Manuals were basically only in production when people ordered the cars for themselves. Anecdotally something like 10-15% of 991.2s are manual so they are rarer and enthusiasts seek them out. They typically sell quickly and quietly when a good one comes up. Just do a search on Porsche finder and you’ll find one listed for $123k.
Recent BaT auctions confirm manuals in 991s, especially .2 sell at premiums. Recent C2S auctions hammered in the $110k-$120k range. A base Carrera sold for $104k. A GTS manual just sold for about $135k. Comparable PDK cars are selling for $15-20k less on BaT. Maybe more depending on spec.

KBB is not a reliable source for 911 values, unless you want to get hurt on a trade-in somewhere. The cars are unique and values can vary greatly based on condition, mileage, options, color, and yes transmission. 991 manuals definitely sell at a premium. KBB fails to capture the huge fluctuations you can see based on options and condition.

There is the proof.
At Porsche dealers currently, there are 5 991.2s listed for sale. The 4 PDK cars range from $99k-$120k listed price. The 1 manual is listed for $123k.
the PDK cars have lower mileage too.
Less quanity of something in the Porsche world equals higher desirability. That coupled with the connection a manual transmission provides between the driver and machine means more money. As cars become more sterile and electric golf cart like that delta will grow. On paper your automatic cab may be worth more money but not in real life.
