Default 991 top replacement in Phoenix

I have a 2013 991 cabriolet that needs a new top installed. Does anyone have any experience installing the tops or know of a shop in the greater Phoenix area that does good work on these?

Best regards,

Brendan

I do not, but you may want to contact Mcilvain Motors and ask if they have recommendations. They have been a pleasure to work with for all things Porsche.

What happened to your top that it needs to be replaced?

I have owned 3 911 convertibles....If the tops are cycled and the car is used year round, the top usually lasts 10-15 years before replacement is necessary. At least that is my experience.

@brendansriley - If you are not a member of the local Porsche Club of America chapter, you really need to join. Great resource for information (like what you are asking for) and a fantastic group of people with a common interest. Best thing I ever did here where I live! This is your area local chapter: https://az.pca.org/. Check it out and join - you will not regret it (our local Porsche dealership gives 10% off on parts too).

A friend of mine just used a place called Top Shop I believe off the 51 and was very happy. He said the shop had a very vintage look but couldn't say enough good things about the owner...

Thank you SKL, I have heard the same from people with other brands of convertibles. They seem to be the best choice for me. Unfortunately, they have a several month backlog.

Best regards,

Brendan

Another is VIP Interiors in north Tempe, I believe off Curry Rd. He replaced by 993 top 20+ yrs ago and also fixed my delaminated door card on my 991.
