Default Heated steering wheel?

I live in a colder winter climate and recently acquired a 991.1 4S cab. I would appreciate suggestions regarding replacing my current steering wheel with a heated one. Unless it’s a blizzard out, the car is my daily driver.

I've got a OEM multifunction black leather steering wheel with heating - happy to let it go for a reasonable price if interested.

You will need a heated steering wheel, new clock spring and also a code and programming from the dealer to activate at a minimum. If you wanted to upgrade to a heated 991.2 wheel you will need the GPS adapter as well as all the items mentioned above.

Make sure it isn't heated, first. A lot of folks don't realize they have one already!

The button is on the wheel itself at the 6 o'clock position, on the inside of the outer ring.

Are you sure about this? I have a multifunction wheel in my 22 GTS Macan with the steering wheel heating, but the car was not optioned for it new. Dealer tells me they cannot activate steering wheel heating after the fact.

I have no idea regarding the Macan but for the 991 there are many examples of it being done so it’s really nothing groundbreaking. If you have the right components the dealer can definitely program it, whether they are willing to do it is a different story. Here’s the gps adapter diy for steering wheel heat
